Nurturing Your Artist Voice : Studio Mentoring
This is a 4 day open studio for painters and artists looking to work on their personal body of work, attain critique and ask questions. This 4 day in studio experience is designed to encourage artists to work on their own terms and investigate their own personal styles and focuses.
Work along side donna as she paints with you in the studio with you, surrounded by like-minded creatives and building on your body of work. Paint in your own voice and in your own theme with feedback provided as needed.
Artists must be self-motivated and have their own goals in mind.
Each artist will be provided a table and/or easel, as well as, access to our studio classroom supplies. All pre-ordered or shipped supplies necessary to make your time in the studio most effective will also be waiting for you in your workspace. Our classroom studio is completely stocked with water buckets, palettes, paper towel, baby wipes, several mediums and paints to work from, however, it is recommended that the artist brings their own must have creative supplies, brushes and substrates. We can preorder any substrates or supplies for you if needed and of course we will have the shop on site for any items you may have forgotten.
We will provide a small breakfast and a full lunch, however if you have any special dietary needs you would like to bring we also have a refrigerator and microwave on site. We include all coffee and teas from our specialty on-site coffee shop, as well as, water, sodas, and snacks.
Monday April 23rd 11am-5pm
Tuesday, April 24th-10am 5pm
Wednesday, April 25th -10am 5pm
Thursday April 26th - 10am-3pm
We will meet on Monday morning at 11:00 AM to set up your space and discuss individual goals or directions. (The Studio opens at 9AM if you want to come early, however, I would please ask that artists do not begin before our 11:00 AM start time.) The studio will close at 5:00pm each evening and at 3:00pm on Thursday.
Monday-Thursday open studio sessions will start at 10AM. These 4 days will be fully dedicated to the development of your own personal body of work. I will be painting with you and fully available for you for these sessions. (The doors of the coffee shop open each day at 6AM, if you are an early bird and would like to come early and start painting in the quiet hours of the morning, you absolutely may).
Workshops Policies : Half-day, full-day, multi-day workshops, and special events are scheduled throughout the year. Once you purchase a workshop you will be enrolled.
Due to limited class size, purchased spots for all workshops are transferable but payment is non-refundable. What this means: If you buy a class spot and are unable to attend, and if there is a waiting list of students that has formed, we will put you in contact with the first person on the list to whom you can offer your class spot. If the person on the list accepts, then that person will need to pay you for your spot and once that transaction is complete and both parties are satisfied, we will transfer your spot to the other person. If you are unable to attend and there is no waiting list, we will unfortunately be unable to provide refunds.
Emergency Cancellations : In the very rare event of an unavoidable natural disaster or act of God, the class may be cancelled. In this situation, all fees will be reimbursed to students in full.
If you would like to enroll in a workshop that has been sold out, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and you will be put on a waiting list.
