Acrylics A to Z: Color, Texture, & Layers
During this three-day painting intensive, students will have fun exploring the breadth of acrylic color and mediums made by Golden Artist Colors!
On day one, students will learn about color properties, pigment behavior, and color mixing recipes while working with a range of paint formulations including Heavybody, Fluid, High Flow, and OPEN Acrylics!
Day two will have us working with pastes and gels to achieve unique textures. Discover toothy and absorbent materials to use for painting grounds, see how to change the feel and viscosity of acrylic color by mixing texture recipes, and dabble with other techniques like wet carving and mold making.
For our final day, we will combine techniques and elements from day one and two along with transparent and translucent mediums to create stunning layers!
Students of all painting levels are welcome and all workshop-use paint, surfaces, and tools will be supplies by the instructor.
* NOTE : Students staying with us in our on-site accommodations will also receive continental breakfast, Chef prepared dinner, unlimited access to studios & art supplies, and on-site amenities.
