What’s better than good ole’ peanut butter and jelly? How about a weekend immersed in the creative process with Roben-Marie? Join her for the PP&J Workshop Weekend: Paper, Paint & Journal!
Roben-Marie will guide you through her solution for bridging the gap between paper and painting and inspire you to approach your art in a new way. You will walk away with a piece of art that is wall ready and ideas that translate to your journal or any other mixed media project!
And there is more...create your own artsy Pop-Up Fringe Journal out of all the bits and pieces you already have lying around in your stash. Whether you’re a novice book binder, or a seasoned journal-maker, this class will provide you with easy-to-follow instructions to design your own dynamic book and custom pouch. Roben-Marie will provide lots of bits and bobs from her stash, but feel free to bring items from your own as well.
If time remains, we will “play” in our journals and explore ideas for leveraging your work into other projects - Roben-Marie’s specialty!
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
My name is Roben-Marie and I provide ideas, inspiration and quality instruction for hobbyists and art entrepreneurs. I teach artists from beginners to those making a living from their art through my blog and my popular online workshops.
As an artist, blogger, woman of faith and the owner of Paperbag Studios, LLC, my mission is to serve others and help them get the most out of their art as a hobby, or as a business. My own desire to learn and unquenchable curiosity keeps my fingers messy and my heart happy.
I have been a working artist for the last ten years, and am self-taught, so I believe that anyone can cultivate their creative spark. I've taught mixed media art workshops and retreats across the U.S. and my work has been featured in countless books and industry magazines including: Journal It!, The Artist Unique, Creative Lettering Workshop, Art Saves, Exhibition 36, Journal Revolution, A World of Artist Journal Pages, 1000 Artist Journal Pages, "Somerset Studio," "Art Journaling," "Green Craft," "Artist' Cafe," "Artful Blogging," "Legacy," "Somerset Memories," "Somerset Life," "Somerset Apprentice" and "Somerset Gallery."

Workshops Policies : Half-day, full-day, multi-day workshops, and special events are scheduled throughout the year. Once you purchase a workshop you will be enrolled.
Due to limited class size, purchased spots for all workshops are transferable but payment is non-refundable. What this means: If you buy a class spot and are unable to attend, and if there is a waiting list of students that has formed, we will put you in contact with the first person on the list to whom you can offer your class spot. If the person on the list accepts, then that person will need to pay you for your spot and once that transaction is complete and both parties are satisfied, we will transfer your spot to the other person. If you are unable to attend and there is no waiting list, we will unfortunately be unable to provide refunds.
Emergency Cancelations : In the very rare event of an emergency or unavoidable natural disaster or act of God, the class may be cancelled. In this situation, all fees will be reimbursed to students in full.
If you would like to enroll in a workshop that has been sold out, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and you will be put on a waiting list.
