"It Waits for Us to Forget"

$ 200

what’s hardest to believe
is how many people
look straight past
what’s happening
right in front of them.

fascism doesn’t wear new clothes,
it’s the same tired uniform
of fear, hate, and control.
but people still nod along,
acting like they don’t notice,
acting like history
isn’t repeating itself
in broad daylight.

it’s not even ignorance.
it’s on purpose,
the rewriting, the erasing,
the deliberate silence
that makes the lies louder
than the truth.

and yet,
there are voices that refuse to sink.
people who rise up,
who stand in protest,
who carry the weight of justice
in their fists,
in their chants,
in their very presence.

they are the sparks,
the cracks of light
cutting through the dark.

history doesn’t disappear.
it waits.
it waits for us to forget.
and the only way not to drown
is to keep rising,
keep remembering,
keep speaking truth
into the noise.
