"Rising to Be Heard"

This piece is really close to my heart. It’s all about the journey of finding your voice and stepping into who you truly are. For me, it represents not just a personal transformation but something so many of us go through as artists, women, mothers, and daughters. Learning to speak your truth, to be heard, and to be vulnerable, it’s powerful and freeing.

The deep purple at her throat is where it all begins. It’s heavy, mysterious, and full of emotion, symbolizing the struggles and the silence we often carry. But then it rises, moving up into that beautiful golden light. That transition is everything. It’s about finding clarity and confidence, leaving the darkness behind, and realizing your voice matters.

And the lotus flower, it’s so significant. It’s right over her throat, the throat chakra, which is all about communication and self-expression. The lotus itself symbolizes growth and resilience, blooming even in muddy waters. To me, it’s a perfect representation of her journey, of all our journeys, to find the strength to speak up and share who we are with the world.

This piece isn’t just about her, it’s about all of us. It’s a reminder that our voices, our truths, are worth rising for.
